Japanese cookery classes for all and local catering

We decided to serve delicious and healthy Japanese cuisine here in Toton, Nottingham. Please understand that you will share a table with other people but you have something in common - enjoying Japanese food!

The menu will be (subject to change)

Vegetarian menu available on request


1/ white thin noodle (soh-men) in dipping sauce

2/ raw salmon and spring onion witn wasabi soy sauce

3/ stewed dish

4/ Cubed sirloin beef with Japanese style BBQ sauce on shredded cabbage, cucumber with sesame seeds, sea

    vegetable salad, rice and miso soup

5/ dessert

6/ tea or coffee


£30 per head, BYO no cork charge

Japanese New Year special

What do Japanese people eat on New Year's day? Here is your chance to try it. We eat sticky rice cake in soup (zo-ni) and various dishes such as omelette with stock, sweet beans, fish, prawns, vegetable lightly marinated, low calorie starch jelly, stewed vegetable, etc.etc. More details will be published later.

 

 The date is on Friday the 8th February at 6:30pm.  £30 per person

  mooli and carrots sweet and sour salad

  fish (something else for vegetarian)

  stewed vegetables

  sushi wrapped with egg

  omlette

  stewed beans

  king prawn (something else for vegetarian)

  soup with sticky rice cake

  kon nyaku (Asian potato family product but like jelly)

  lightly marinated turnip

  sweet potato

  dessert and tea/coffee

1/ Chickpea tofu

2/ Stewed lotus roots, fried tofu, turnip and carrot

3/ Tsukune (minced chicken balls with ginger)

    Stewed shredded mooli and carrots dressed with sesame oil

    Fried Chinese yam

    Miso soup

    Rice

4/ Dessert

5/ Japanese green tea, English tea or coffee

Menu on last pop up:

1/ Non-fried spring rolls

2/ Stewed potato and twisted kon-nyaku (konjak) * the same as zero calorie noodle*

3/ Grilled pork, white flish or salmon marinated with shio koji

 Mooli with minced pork in thick sauce

 Fried lotus roots

   Green beans 

 Lightly pickled vegetable

 Rice

4/ Sweet potato in aga-aga jelly

5/ Japanese green tea/ coffee
